Teaching UX Heuristics at The RED Academy

As a UX design instructor, I was given the opportunity to overlook the production of several iOS and Android applications of real-client projects. With all designs and research provided by my students, my job was to give meaningful feedback and give insight into UX process.

My Approach

Starting each morning with a group meditation or exercise, breaking the ice for a collaborative and fun learning experience, we then jump into the day’s lesson. Design theory is meant to inspire new opportunities, therefore, lesson slides are customized to provide context and ideas. After our workshop, we then continue our client projects and communications.

Designing beautiful interfaces is one thing, but what use is a great looking product without a person to use it or even understand it? In product design, UX and UI are both important factors for a successul project.

The Result

Multiple products shipped in various industries. Projects include a product that connects to your nest thermostat, an event nightlife application, a stadium camera application for corporate events, and a home cleaning services app.
